At the end of July 2013 a group of Exsa growers and personnel visited two large farming operations (Rugani Carrots and ZZ2 Tomatoes) in the north of the country.
The tour was interesting particularly in the methods in which these operations made significant improvements on their productivity over time. The various methods were explained to the group in detail.
The group was well received and their interest in these businesses was much appreciated. The visitors were also encouraged by the positive attitude these large businesses have in the future of South African agriculture.
