During August the Exsa marketing team travelled to the northern Cape to visit the Exsa growers in the region. The purpose of the visit was to meet with each of the growers, discuss the various aspects of the past harvest and marketing season and to plan for the forthcoming harvest. The team visited growers in along the river between Upington and Kakamas, as well as the Exsa growers at Vioolsdrift, which is more than 300km to the west of Kakamas.
The feedback that they received from growers about the previous season has mostly very positive. It also provided an invaluable opportunity for the marketing team to engage directly with the growers and their teams at each of the farms. In the sessions with the growers, they were able to receive feedback, discuss issues with them and plan for the year ahead.
